Because the play, formation, and playart diagrams on Playbook Wizard are shown as images or animations they’re impossible to search. So, tags are used to help authors quickly find and categorize relevant playbooks, plays, formations, and playart. You specify short (less than 15 characters) tags for your content like “strong right”, “trick play”, or “jumbo” and those tags help you find the content on your “My Plays”, “My Formations”, “My Playart”, or “My Playbooks” pages and help other authors looking for similar content find it as well.
Tags are displayed at the bottom of content in a list:
and are shown in “Tag Clouds” where each tag is given a color and size representing its popularity.
Tag clouds specific to each type of content appear in the right column on pages listing that content:
How you use tags is up to you but you’re encouraged to use as many relevant tags as possible to help bring order to what would otherwise be a pile of images that you’d have to individually look at each time you’re searching for new content to share.
Also, if you want your content to have a high popularity score and appear at the top of the list then relevant tags will help get other authors to view it which will in turn boost its popularity.
